A highly-respected businesswoman who dedicated her life to providing for her husband and son and she fought for her marriage and fought for her family, and she is the one we should admire. He wanted the attention and praise, so he gave everything away. She knew how to invest, and when. Thank you for reading! And thank you for recognizing the goal of my post. I was, indeed, trying to acknowledge the contribution of Augusta Tabor to Colorado. She does indeed deserve more recognition. Because she was married, cruel property laws of that era prevented her from owning her own money; the law said it was all the husband's--That's why he could take it from her so easily. Married Women's Property Acts passed in different states were the reforms that slowly gave successful married women the right to hang onto their bucks, even if Baby Does came looking to cash in on someone else's earnings.Greta Nhttp://www.gretanettleton.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964675941678680587.post-66051802256260591182013-04-01T17:37:44.679-07:002013-04-01T17:37:44.679-07:00In addition to magazine and newspaper articles I a...In addition to magazine and newspaper articles I also write short Western fiction stories in my spare time.
