"On my way, I have reviewed my life as a cowboy from every angle and came to the conclusion that about all I had gained was experience that I could not turn into cash, and so I decided I had enough of it and made up my mind to go home, get married, and settle down to farming." --F.M. Polk, ex-trail driver, 1924
Where have you gone...Darla? Really miss your articles! Hope all is well...Joe
ReplyDeleteI was working on a detailed article on undertakers and death in the Old West and was ready to post when Colorado--where four of my children and four grandchildren live--flooded. Now it seems rather out of place, so I'm holding back just a bit. I'm covering the news stories about the floods and working on one about the floods in New Mexico. I'm still here, though!
DeleteI AM SO SORRY...HOPE THINGS WORK OUT WELL FOR YOUR FAMILY...JOE
ReplyDeleteAs soon as we dry out down here in New Mexico I plan to drive up and help them out. The floods just keep coming!
